Epifny Consulting founder, Dean Russell, spent the day being interviewed on radio stations across the BBC and Jazz FM to discuss research undertaken by charity client Greg Secker Foundation (GSF) and YouGov.
The research, which investigated the perceptions by the general public around business and charity.
Two thousand members of public across the UK were asked about their thoughts on businesses giving to charity.
The findings overwhelmingly highlighted that the British public expect businesses to do more to support charities and their local community. With 54% even stating that UK businesses should be required to give to charity by law with 43% stating they would have a more positive opinion of a company if they gave just 5% or more to charity.
Dean Russell added "It was a pleasure to discuss the findings of the Greg Secker Foundation research, which highlights that there is a genuine appetite for businesses to take an active interest in the local community and support charities. From my experience with the Foundation, especially with their work building a village in the Philippines for people affected by Typhoon Haiyan, I have seen the positive impact businesses can have when their leadership apply their skills to help make a difference in the world around us."
